Striving to provide comprehensive and safe medical services of the highest quality through highly skilled and experienced staff, utilizing the latest medical and therapeutic technologies while upholding professional ethics and fulfilling our responsibilities towards society by focusing on:
Diagnosing and treating complex cases: Addressing medical conditions currently difficult to treat within the country, which would otherwise require patients to seek treatment abroad, often accompanied by significant financial costs, suffering, and sometimes treatment failure. This involves compiling difficult cases, identifying the required treatment and surgeries, and leveraging both local doctors and consultations with specialized foreign experts.
Arranging schedules for specialists: Organizing and coordinating with both Iraqi and foreign doctors who are brought in to treat complex cases, while overcoming challenges associated with recruiting advanced medical teams.
Training Iraqi doctors: Providing on-the-job training opportunities for Iraqi doctors by working alongside these advanced medical teams to enhance their skills in diagnosing and treating illnesses and operating modern equipment available at the hospital, aiming for self-sufficiency in the future.
Preserving and maintaining hospital equipment: Establishing robust scientific mechanisms for maintaining hospital equipment and presenting studies and modern scientific advancements to maintain the hospital's globally advanced status.
Developing cost-effective solutions: Creating economic plans for the hospital, as deemed appropriate by the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine's administration, either as a subsidized hospital, self-funded, or through investment, to minimize patient treatment costs.
Enhancing relationships: Coordinating effectively with the public relations departments of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine and the hospital to reach skilled professionals locally and internationally, aiming to operate the hospital at its full capacity as planned.
Collaborating with global institutions: Establishing connections with international institutions and universities specializing in modern management methods and employing these to advance the hospital's administration.
Promoting hospital capabilities through media: Leveraging media to educate the public about the hospital's capabilities and highlight its needs, ensuring comprehensive informational and service-oriented communication.
Maintaining professionalism and excellence: Upholding the integrity and professionalism of this institution while continuously improving its performance. This includes fostering relationships with medical colleges and higher education centers, or even establishing a private medical college.
Coordinating with the Ministry of Health: Exploring opportunities for government support, such as contracts for treating cases currently sent abroad for medical care.
Activating health insurance systems: Engaging with both governmental and non-governmental organizations to promote health insurance initiatives.
Ensuring workforce protection: Developing a protection system for all hospital staff, both local and foreign.
Recruiting skilled professionals: Attracting foreign medical, nursing, and service professionals to fill skill gaps in the country.
Utilizing reliable medical supplies: Employing treatments and other medical necessities from trusted sources and providing them to patients at minimal costs.
To achieve the above goals, the hospital management adheres to scientific and academic standards, employing an electronic system to manage patient admissions, follow-up care, and data archiving. Additionally, the system oversees operations in outpatient clinics, wards, laboratories, radiology, pharmacy, and accounts, among other departments. This electronic system will have a direct impact on improving and expediting patient care.
There is no doubt that the medical situation in Iraq has been adversely affected by the policies the country has experienced, resulting in significant challenges for citizens due to the multitude of major medical issues we face. Furthermore, the existing infrastructure is no longer sufficient to meet these needs. For this reason, the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine decided to undertake this project, which was inaugurated after fulfilling all necessary requirements. By the grace of Almighty Allah, the construction was completed in less than four years, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the executing company, the designers, and the supervision provided by the Projects Department of the Holy Shrine. The idea behind establishing this hospital, or its primary objective, is to address the reality that a large number of patients travel abroad for treatment due to the lack of effective medical care in our existing hospitals, especially with the complexity and variety of diseases. To ease their burden and reduce the strain on them, this hospital was established.
