Performs the following tests

Pulmonary function tests (spirometry) for surgical preparation, particularly for older adults, smokers, and patients with respiratory symptoms or undergoing cardiothoracic surgeries

Respiratory volume measurements

Diagnosis of respiratory diseases (asthma, bronchial allergies, shortness of breath, reduced respiratory volume, etc.)

Assessment of respiratory response to medications

Evaluation of smoking effects on respiratory health

Pre-surgical respiratory assessments for anesthesia planning

Monitoring of chemical and epidemiological effects on respiratory function
