Alkafeel Specialized Hospital Conducts Workshop on Early Detection of Breast Cancer

Alkafeel Specialized Hospital in Karbala organized a workshop for the female employees of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine to raise awareness about breast cancer, its detection, and treatment. The workshop also highlighted the hospital's program aimed at contributing to treatment efforts and reducing the incidence of this disease.

Dr. Anwar Al-Hashemi, a specialist in early detection of breast cancer at the hospital, stated in a press interview:

"We recently held an educational scientific workshop for female staff members from various departments of Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, focusing on breast cancer and its early detection. The workshop was conducted in the Al-Siddiqah Center auditorium of the shrine as part of the hospital's initiatives to support medical programs and awareness campaigns about breast cancer."

Dr. Al-Hashemi elaborated:

"We explained the nature, symptoms, causes, preventive measures, and treatment methods for breast cancer, as well as identifying the age groups most at risk. Additionally, we discussed the hospital's early detection program, emphasizing the importance of self-examination as a primary step, followed by clinical examination, ultrasound, mammography, and other diagnostic tools."
