Specialists from Four Provinces Discuss Advances in Endocrinology and Diabetes Treatments

Specialist physicians convened to discuss cutting-edge methods and scientific advancements in the treatment of endocrine disorders, focusing on reducing surgical interventions and minimizing complications. The gathering underscored the importance of medical scientific assemblies for experience-sharing and enhancing patient care.

The event took place at the Conference Hall of Al-Kafeel Super Specialty Hospital in collaboration with the Imam Hassan Center for Endocrinology and Diabetes, affiliated with the Karbala Directorate of Health.

 

Dr. Jasim Al-Ibrahimi, C.E.O. of Al-Kafeel Super Specialty Hospital, emphasized:

"This workshop is part of our high-level scientific gatherings, bringing together specialist physicians. Such events foster communication, the exchange of the latest medical advancements, and expertise, ultimately benefiting patient care. Dr. Qusay Al-Zajjaji, Director of the Imam Hassan Center, highlighted:

 "This workshop, held in collaboration with Al-Kafeel Super Specialty Hospital, focused on the latest advancements in managing thyroid and parathyroid diseases. It witnessed the participation of specialists from Karbala, Najaf, Muthanna, and Diwaniyah provinces. Our future programs will include workshops and training sessions for medical staff to develop the healthcare sector and raise public awareness about endocrine and diabetes disorders, focusing on prevention and treatment."

Dr. Ahmed Kanaan, a nuclear medicine specialist, elaborated on the workshop's significance, stating:

 "The workshop addressed endocrine diseases, emphasizing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. These efforts aim to reduce surgical interventions or minimize their complications."

Dr. Kanaan further explained the incorporation of modern medical technologies in managing endocrine disorders, including interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, and radioactive iodine therapy, alongside surgical treatments. He noted the workshop's high-quality attendance, with participants specializing in general surgery, endocrinology, and nuclear medicine.
