The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, in collaboration with the Iraqi Ministry of Health, has discussed the inclusion of Alkafeel Hospital within the health insurance project adopted by the ministry.

This was during a meeting between the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Mr. Mustafa Murtada Al-Dhyaa Al-Deen, and a delegation from the Health Insurance Authority of the Ministry of Health.

The Head of the Authority, Mr. Ali Ahmed Ubaid, stated, “Our visit to the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine aims to expand the health insurance project plan by discussing the possibility of including Alkafeel Hospital as one of the providers of this service.”

Ubaid added, “The delegation includes a fully integrated team working on completing the initial procedures for incorporating the hospital into this project in accordance with the regulations and guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.” He also pointed out that "Alkafeel Hospital is one of the leading institutions in providing various healthcare services to citizens.”

Furthermore, Ubaid explained that “The categories covered by the health insurance project include employees and their families on a mandatory basis, low-income individuals registered under the social welfare network, as well as retirees and citizens who wish to enroll voluntarily.”
