Man in His Sixties Recovers from Multiple Pelvic and Leg Fractures through a Specialized Surgery

An orthopedic surgical team at Alkafeel Hospital in Karbala has successfully treated a 59-year-old patient suffering from complex fractures in his pelvis and leg.

Dr. Muhannad Al-Shammari stated in a press interview that the patient presented with multiple fractures in the acetabulum (pelvic socket) and leg bones. Following a thorough evaluation, including laboratory tests and radiographic imaging, a comprehensive treatment plan was developed.

Dr. Al-Shammari explained that the patient underwent a meticulously planned surgery, during which the fractures in the pelvic socket were reconstructed and stabilized using customized plates. The leg fractures were then fixed with a locked intramedullary nail. He attributed the success of the procedure to the availability of advanced medical equipment and the support of highly skilled medical staff at the hospital.

This achievement highlights Alkafeel Hospital's ability to manage complex orthopedic cases effectively, providing patients with the opportunity to regain their mobility and improve their quality of life.
