Alkafeel Hospital Continues Breast Cancer Awareness Activities and Early Detection Campaigns

Alkafeel Hospital remains committed to its field awareness initiatives on early breast cancer detection and treatment, striving to contribute to reducing the incidence of the disease by enhancing public awareness.

Dr. Anwar Al-Hashemi, Consultant for Early Breast Cancer Detection at the hospital, stated: “Recently, we delivered an educational lecture as part of an awareness seminar on breast cancer, its prevention, and diagnostic methods. The seminar was held for female staff members and students at the College of Agriculture, University of Karbala, upon their request for collaboration in the field of health education and awareness.”

Dr. Al-Hashemi added: “The lecture covered key aspects of breast cancer, including its causes, severity, and treatment options. We also highlighted the importance of early detection programs in diagnosis and treatment, which play a crucial role in reducing the number of cases. Additionally, we discussed the availability of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for breast cancer.”

Dr. Shaimaa Abdul Kadhim, Head of Women's Affairs at the College of Agriculture, University of Karbala, commented: “This seminar was organized in collaboration with Alkafeel Hospital and targeted female faculty members, administrative staff, and students. The lecture provided invaluable information on breast cancer, its early detection, prevention, and treatment methods, knowledge that many women may not have access to.”
