Al-Kafeel Hospital in Karbala continues to implement the Ministry of Health’s Medical Recruitment Program, achieving significant successes in delivering advanced ophthalmic care to patients.
Dr. Mohamed Qabeel, an ophthalmic surgeon at the hospital, stated that the program includes follow-up care for existing cases and the treatment of new ones, utilizing the latest medical technologies and providing high-quality corneal grafts. He noted that during his current visit, he and his medical team plan to perform approximately 25 corneal transplant surgeries.
Ammar, a patient from Baghdad benefiting from the program, shared that he had been suffering from severe eye pain and progressive vision loss due to an old injury. After consulting with numerous doctors, he was referred to Al-Kafeel Hospital, where Dr. Qabeel evaluated his condition and decided to proceed with a corneal transplant surgery.
