A specialized neurosurgical team at Alkafeel Hospital successfully saved the life of a young man following a severe traffic accident, attributing the success to the hospital’s advanced facilities and capabilities.

Dr. Khalid Al-Sarraj stated that the 27-year-old patient from Babil was referred to the hospital after a road traffic accident that caused multiple fractures in his limbs as well as lumbar and thoracic vertebrae, leading to significant spinal cord compression and damage.

“We performed an urgent surgery during which we stabilized the fractured vertebrae and decompressed the spinal cord. The patient regained movement in his limbs following the operation,” Dr. Al-Sarraj explained.
