Endoscopic Removal of a Tracheal Tumor in a Young Patient

Successful Bronchoscopic Procedure Restores Airway Patency
A specialized team in thoracic, cardiac, and vascular surgery at Alkafeel Hospital successfully performed a complex endoscopic procedure to remove a tumor from the airway of a 29-year-old patient.
Dr. Ihsan Al-Aamri, consultant surgeon, explained that the patient presented with near-complete obstruction of the trachea, leading to severe shortness of breath and episodes of suffocation caused by a tumor blocking the airway.
He added that under general anesthesia, the team performed a bronchoscopic procedure using a rigid bronchoscope, during which the tumor was completely removed. Dr. Al-Aamri confirmed that the surgery was successful, and the patient was discharged in good health.
