The medical team at Al-Kafeel Specialized Hospital in Iraq has successfully put an end to the suffering of a 13-year-old girl who endured severe abdominal pain and chronic constipation for two years due to complications from a previous surgery. They conducted a remarkable endoscopic procedure using the scoping of Lycashor device. Dr. Sarmad Al-Rubaie, a pediatric surgeon, explained that the girl had undergone multiple surgeries and endoscopic procedures at different hospitals without improvement.
Upon reviewing the patient multiple times, it was decided to perform an exploratory and therapeutic endoscopic procedure. This revealed severe adhesions between the intestinal passages and the front abdominal wall in the area of the previous surgery, leading to impairment of the colon and partial blockage. The adhesions were completely released, allowing the large intestine to move freely within the abdominal cavity. Following this, the girl's health improved significantly, and it was noted that the use of the scope Lycashor device greatly facilitated the success of this complex operation.
