A specialized team in orthopedics and trauma surgery at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala has revealed the availability of advanced techniques for fixing both complex and simple fractures.

In a press statement, Consultant Surgeon Dr. Burayr Mohammed Ali Al-Asadi stated that a 20-year-old patient presented with a fracture in the distal humerus, affecting the radial nerve. He noted that this type of surgery requires precision, skill, and caution to explore the nerve and stabilize the fracture effectively.

Dr. Al-Asadi explained that a successful operation was performed to stabilize the fracture using modern closed plating techniques. He highlighted that while such procedures are considered routine at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital, they are not without challenges and risks due to their proximity to critical nerves.
