Alkafeel Hospital Achieves Remarkable Success in Cochlear Implant Surgeries 
A specialized team in otolaryngology (ENT surgery) at Alkafeel Hospital in Karbala has successfully performed a cochlear implant for a 15-year-old girl from Babylon suffering from genetic progressive hearing loss, which had significantly affected her communication and learning abilities.
Dr. Baha Al-Anbari stated that the decision to proceed with the surgery came after a comprehensive evaluation and advanced diagnostic tests, which confirmed that cochlear implantation was the optimal solution to restore the patient’s hearing and improve her quality of life.
He added that the procedure was fully successful, performed using the latest surgical techniques and modern equipment, including a high-precision surgical microscope and other specialized instruments available in the operating theaters of Alkafeel Hospital.
Dr. Al-Anbari also noted that nerve response was observed during intraoperative cochlear programming, with excellent initial results, indicating the patient’s strong potential for effective auditory rehabilitation and maximum benefit from the implanted device
