Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital organised a specialised educational workshop on ultrasound equipment, comprising both theoretical and practical components to introduce the latest models and advanced diagnostic technologies, in collaboration with United Company.

The workshop was attended by a select group of doctors specialising in diagnostic radiology and board-trainees in this field, with the session highlighting the fundamental role these modern technologies play in achieving accurate and rapid diagnoses, thereby helping to improve the standard of medical services provided to patients.

Dr Ahmed Kanaan, Head of the Diagnostic Radiology Department at the hospital, stated: “As part of the ongoing series of scientific events organised by Al-Kafeel Hospital and the Diagnostic Radiology Department to explore the latest diagnostic technologies—including magnetic resonance imaging, CT scans, PET scans, radiography and ultrasound, we held an educational workshop comprising both theoretical and practical components on the latest ultrasound equipment, in collaboration with United Company.”

Kanaan added that “the theoretical component covered the most prominent modern technologies and how artificial intelligence facilitates accurate and rapid diagnosis, whilst the practical component involved a field application on a volunteer, demonstrating the robust international standards met by these devices.”

For his part, Dr Mohammed Abbas, Head of the Ultrasound Marketing Department at United Company, praised the advanced standard of the devices on display, noting that “what sets the device apart is the modern technology and the materials used in its manufacture, which are among the most advanced available, as well as the fact that it is supported by artificial intelligence technologies that directly contribute to enhancing diagnostic accuracy and achieving greater image clarity.”

Abbas noted that “images are now clearer thanks to the greater depth provided by advanced ultrasound technologies”.
